  21. I haven't actually had to take a trip out to the college to correct
  22. one of the lockups on the 1.61 ROMs yet. Simply sending the modem an
  23. ATZ seems to correct the problem. The problem with doing that, you
  24. gotta know the modem is locked up, and take the time to reset it.

  26. I've been overwhelmed with complaints from faculty and students about
  27. the lines "not working." Mostly because they just ring&ring, and
  28. people think since the lines are configured with auto-rollover, it
  29. should rollover.

  31. My boss insisted that we try another brand, so I'm trying out four
  32. USRobotics Sportster 33600/Fax modems now, and I haven't been real
  33. pleased with them either. They will answer, but refuse to send/receive
  34. any data with the host on the first connect, you have to hang up and
  35. call back to get a login prompt.

  37. I haven't seen the 1.63 PPI lockup *yet*.
